The Kansas 4-H SpaceTech Action Team is one of the Kansas 4-H Action Teams that Kansas 4-H members (14 and older), volunteer 4-H leaders and Extension staff may join.  The Kansas 4-H SpaceTech Action team’s goals are to help expand Kansas 4-H knowledge and expertise in space technology projects areas, offer annual training for older 4-H members, volunteer 4-H leaders, Extension staff and others, and to provide learning and training opportunities for older teens on the action team as they help plan new trainings and help train others learning about space technology projects.

 

Kansas 4-H SpaceTech offers programs and training in:

• Astronomy
• Robotics
• Rocketry
• GPS/GIS and Community Mapping
• Technology

Periodically the Kansas 4-H SpaceTech Action Team offers trainings around the state.  For example, in 2008, area trainings were held in Hays and Holton that were open to anyone in Kansas.  This web site will list upcoming trainings in 2009 as they are planned.  Information will be linked under the Kansas 4-H home page, http://www.Kansas4-H.org/ under “What’s Hot,” and at the bottom of this page.
