FAMILY STUDIES PROJECT
Objectives for members and their families:
  • Discover that a healthy family life depends on the use of skills, not chance.
  • Help families develop communication skills and build a habit of honest, equitable discussion and negotiation.
  • Raise awareness of issues and behaviors that may threaten family
    well-being.
  • Help 4-H'ers prepare for future careers, marriage, parenting and family life.
  • Develop skills and attitudes in the following areas related to family living:
    self-awareness, self-management, interpersonal relationships, marriage and family life, and personal environment.
  • Learn to use accepted practices for mental, physical and emotional health and to respect self and others.
  • Learn to work and interact in a group setting.
