| The Kansas Association of 4-H Volunteers (KA4-HV)
announces the Kansas 4-H Volunteers Forum, November 16-18, 2007.
This Forum is for all 4-H Volunteers.
The 4-H Volunteers Forum will provide help for Leaders to
strengthen their local clubs.
The Forum will start Friday evening with project-based
skillathons (Photography, Foods, Livestock Learning Labs, Camping,
the new State 4-H Web site and Technology).
Saturday the Forum will focus on CHARACTER COUNTS!. Participants
at the Forum will learn about the six pillars of character and do
learning activities for each of the six pillars. They will
experience a year's worth of club program ideas and receive the
resources to do the programs in their clubs. Each participant will
receive a notebook of CHARACTER COUNTS! programming resources.
Monsanto is sponsoring the resource notebooks and program materials
through a grant to help 4-H develop volunteer leadership.
The Forum will include the traditional silent auction Friday
through Saturday evening. As a community service the proceeds will
go to the 4-H Leader Disaster Recovery Fund.
Participants will meet other 4-H Volunteers from around the state
of Kansas, and have the opportunity to establish lasting
relationships.
