Kansas 4-H's Exchange with Botswana's 4B
Program
| In June 2006 Kansas and Colorado 4-H
programs began a two-way professional exchange with the 4B program
in Botswana, Southern Africa. 4B, a 40-year-old program in the
Ministry of Agriculture of Botswana, was modeled after the 4-H
program in the United States.
Kansas 4-H is happy to be part of the renewal of ties between 4-H
and 4B by hosting Victoria Monnaatsie, a ten-year 4B professional,
September through November, 2006. Victoria is being hosted by the
4-H program at the state level and in Ellis, Stevens, Cherokee,
Brown, and Crawford Counties. She was hosted by Colorado State
University's 4-H Youth Program from her arrival in June to August.
She is observing and learning about 4-H programs in the two states
and sharing information about Botswana and 4B while she is here. |
