4-H Horse Quiz Bowl and Hippology Contest

When: December 2, 2017

Where: Riley County High School, Riley, KS

Who: 4-H Members ages 7-18

Registration: Information & Registration Form

Registration Fee: $5 for each event, $5 for lunch

Registration Deadline: November 29, 2017

Horse Panorama

When: January 26-28, 2018

Where: Rock Springs 4-H Center

Who: 4-H Members ages 7-18 and adult volunteers. Horse Panorama is a compilation of various contests related to the Horse Project. Contests include: quiz bowl, hippology, public speaking presentations, photography and educational posters. There will also be educational activities for 4-Hers of all ages.

Registration Deadline: January 15, 2018

State 4-H Horse Show

When: September 

Where: Kansas State Fairgrounds, Hutchinson, KS

Who: 4-H Members ages 9-18 who have successfully met the requirements of the Horse Achievement Levels required by their age group prior to their District qualifying 4-H Horse Show entry deadline.

Registration Deadline: State 4-H Horse Show entries are due to the State 4-H Office and on KSFAIR data entry system by August 1. Entries cannot be accepted after August 1. Local Extension Units may establish local deadlines before August 1. 

4-H Hippology Contest

When: November 4, 2017

Where: Dreher Building, Douglas County Fairgrounds, Lawrence, KS

Who: 4-H Members ages 7-18 enrolled for the 2017-2018 4-H year in a state 4-H horse or horseless horse project.

Registration: Information & Registration Form

Registration Fee: $10 for competing member, $5 for adult or non-competing member

Registration Deadline: October 31, 2017
