4-H Shooting Sports End-of-the-Year report and Renewals

Submitted by Pam Van Horn

The annual 4-H Shooting Sports Year-end Report and Renewal Forms are available on the 4-H web site. One for 4-H Shooting Sports Coordinator (Coordinator Renewal Form) and another for 4-H Instructors (Instructor Renewal Form) with detailed instructions http://www.kansas4-h.org/events-activities/conferences-events/shooting-sports/docs/Instructions%20for%20completion.pdf. Please read carefully and have each 4-H Shooting Sports Coordinator, 4-H Discipline Instructor and volunteer helper that has assisted 4-H Shooting Sports during 2015-2016 and who plans to serve in a volunteer role during the 2016-2017 year complete the forms.

The forms have two purposes:

1) Provides Kansas 4-H with a summary of Coordinators, Instructors and helpers past year’s involvement – hours, disciplines, training, etc. which are summarized and reported to the National 4-H Shooting Sports program.

2) Serves as a renewal for the 2016-2017 4-H Year’s Shooting Sports volunteers with payment of $5 for liability insurance, due November 1, 2016. On November 2, fee per person starts at $10 until January 15.

Please share this information with all the local 4-H Shooting Sports Coordinators, Instructors and helpers for increased accuracy. Furthermore, insurance renewals are very important if 4-H Shooting Sports Coordinator and/or Instructor plans to serve in the designated role during this new 4-H Year. Additionally, all 4-H Shooting Sports Coordinators/Instructors must be current Registered Volunteers, if not Volunteer Screening must be completed. Forms are due November 1, 2016 at $5 per person, $10 starting November 10 and no forms accepted after January 15, 2017.
