Total Eclipse of the Sun Viewable in Parts of Kansas

Submitted by Deryl Waldren

On Monday, August 21 there will be a total eclipse of the sun around 1 p.m. lasting from 90 – 150 seconds. The path of the eclipse will cut across northeast Kansas. Most of Kansas will not experience a total eclipse. If you have never seen one, you should consider making plans to travel to see this once-in-a-lifetime event. Visit: https://www.greatamericaneclipse.com/. To see the map of where the eclipse will track, visit: https://tse2017.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=d4cf0c22a2df4b6683acc4cd621aca7a.
