Kansas Shooting Sports Team Takes 3rd in the Nation

Kansas Team at National Shooting Championship

Kansas took a team of 36 shooters to Grand Island, Nebraska on June 26-29 to compete at the National 4-H Shooting Sports Championship. Teams of four shooters per discipline competed against other states all week in multiple events. The Kansas team took third place overall, with many teams and individuals placing as well. 

Overall team placings at Nationals:
Air Rifle 1st place
Air Pistol 2nd place
Smallbore Rifle 6th place
Smallbore Pistol 1st place
Muzzleloading 3rd place
Hunting Skills 3rd place
Recurve Archery 5th place
Compound Archery 21st place
Shotgun 14th place
