Understanding the Culture of Poverty
Have you ever wondered about your Kansas youth and families living in poverty? This community discussion is designed to have participants develop a deeper understanding of the culture of poverty. Participants learn about the resilience of people living in poverty through in-person contact with a cultural advocate, a discussion about community building, and educational resources to take back to their own communities to build awareness. Poverty is an issue that people face cross-culturally and by changing our understanding of it, we are able to create change.
