Kansas 4-H Dog Judges’ Certification Training News

Submitted by Deryl Waldren

The Kansas 4-H Dog Judges’ Certification training will be held January 29-31, 2016, in Sabetha (note location change from Seneca) in Nemaha County in Northeast Kansas.  Beginning the training on Friday evening has allowed participants in one weekend to learn about the four phases of dog showmanship, obedience, agility and rally obedience of the Kansas 4-H Dog Care and Training Project.  This is also a good opportunity for local project leaders and older 4-H members to observe the training and better understand how they will be judged at invitational and the Kansas State Fair 4-H Dog Show.  Details for registration will be available on or before December 1st, so please share the dates with potential judges and project leaders in your Extension Unit.
