2015 Citizenship In Action Registration
Registration for Citizenship In Action, February 14-15, 2016 is open until January 15. Please go to www.kansas4-H.org to register. The cost for 2016 is $165, with the option to purchase their own hotel bed for an additional $30. Citizenship In Action (CIA) is an opportunity for youth to learn about the law-making process, from writing their own legislation to debating it on the floor of the actual House and Senate Floors. On Monday, youth will have the opportunity to watch legislators in committee meetings, discuss legislation in session and to have lunch with their own legislator.
There are scholarships available for Citizenship In Action, you can find the scholarship application here (http://www.kansas4-h.org/events-activities/conferences-events/citizenship-in-action/index.html). Scholarships are due by January 4, 2016 to the State 4-H Office. Notifications will be sent by January 10, 2016 to all scholarship applicants on the status of their scholarship so that there is still time to register for the event.
