Buckeye Leadership Workshop Program Coming in August

Submitted by Deryl Waldren

Three 4-H Youth Development Educator guru’s that have been a part of the Buckeye Leadership Workshop (BLW) in Columbus, OH, for multiple years are bringing a slice of BLW to Kansas.

  • Bill Henderson – known for his musical talents, song circles and Leadership training through music and recreation.
  • Larry Hall – known for his camp counselor training, camp youth development and also his singing abilities.
  • John Fark – known for his facilitation skills and environmental activities.  He is also known as Father Time.

Buckeye Leadership Workshop is a learning and sharing “workshop” intended as a balanced program of social, physical, mental, and spiritual activities.  We believe that Buckeye Leadership Workshop provides a powerful learning environment in which anyone who works with people, professionally or informally, can develop programming for youth or adults.  The workshop also benefits those who simply enjoy associating with great people, experiencing new ideas, and learning new skills. Experiential learning through recreation is truly the intent and methodology of the Buckeye Leadership Workshop.

Program Details:  Friday, August 26 and Saturday, August 27, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.  Attend both days or it is possible to attend only one day.   The location is the K-State Ag Research Center, 1232 240th Avenue, Hays, KS 67601.   For full details, visit:  http://www.northwest.k-state.edu/4-h/events/
