Retirement News

I want to express my appreciation for the opportunity to serve as Assistant Director, Department Head, for 4-H Youth Development over the past 5 years. Later this month I will retire from Kansas State University, KSRE. It has been an adventure! More importantly, it was an awesome responsibility to provide leadership and direction for an already strong 4-H program and taking it to another level for generations of youth to come. You are a passionate and dedicated group of Extension professionals and I wish you the very best as your Extension education careers progress. After nearly 38 years in the Cooperative Extension System, it has been a fruitful and satisfying career. I do not consider this next chapter as “retired” but prefer to think of it as “rewired”. Garrison Keillor, creator of A Prairie Home Companion, says it best “Be well. Do good work. And stay in touch.”
