K-State Livestock Judging Camp, Horse Judging Camp, and KASLA Cancelled

Submitted by Lexie Hayes

Our students, future students and friends of the Department of Animal Sciences & Industry are and continue to be our top priority. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to work its way across our nation, we are monitoring developments. We have made the decision to cancel all KSU ASI sponsored judging camps and the K-State Animal Sciences Leadership Academy (KASLA) this summer. This decision was not made lightly, but the safety and health of the youth we serve is our highest priority.

If you have already sent in your registration please contact Chris Mullinix (Livestock) at cmullinix@ksu.edu or James Lattimer (Horse) at jlattimer@ksu.edu to discuss cancellation. We look forward to having you on campus next year for the Champions Livestock Judging, Beginning and Advance Horse Judging Camps.

Applicants for KASLA are encouraged to re-apply for the academy in 2021. For more information, please contact academy director Sharon Breiner at sbreiner@ksu.edu.

Stay safe and stay healthy!
