Announcing 2021 Summer Pen Pal Program
Starting, Thursday, June 10, registration to be part of the 2021 Pen Pal program opened. The program begins July 1 and runs through September 23. The program is available for youth between the ages of 9 and 18. Interested youth and families can register at the link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2H962HB Cost to register is $10.
The Pen Pal program is offered to the first 250 registrants. Once the initial number of participants in acquired a waiting list will be formed. States 4-H will match the US youth with from other countries that have chosen to participate. Youth participants are tasked with exchanging a letter or message via their preferred communication method. The expectation is that they communicate (at least) a few times with their match during the program period. They may write as many times as both parties feel comfortable.
