Duplicate Members

Submitted by Terry Williams

Kansas recently had over 400 true duplicate member profiles in the 4HOnline system. The state has manually merged each member's duplicate record in an effort to help local Extension units and families have accurate historical 4-H data.

Each youth or adult should have only one profile in 4HOnline.  Please don't accept duplicate members. Instead, ask the member to log in again and correctly re-enroll using their original (old) profile. Delete the unneeded (new) member profile and delete the empty (new) family. It doesn't help to "archive" original (old) profiles; keeping duplicate member profiles will separate and muddy 4-H history and cause more data cleanup for staff.
