Description:

Almonds are a common nut to find in the grocery stores, but not commonly grown here in Kansas. Almonds are closely related to peaches, plums, and cherries, but the part we eat is the inside of the pit. The fruits are about ¾” long, covered in a brown papery tunic, and are tear drop shaped.
