Grape

Scientific Name: Vitis hybrids

Category: Fruits and Nuts

Description:

Grapes are a vining fruit crop that grows in cultivation and in the wild. Grape vines can grow up to 10 feet a year, with most of this growth being pruned out each spring for the plant to be as productive as possible. The leaves of grape can be very large, with some varieties being up to 1' across. Tendrils grow opposite of the leaves and help hold the vine to a wire or other structure. Grape fruits grow in bunches, with the color of the fruit depending on the variety.
