Geology Field Trips

What: State 4-H Geology Field Trip

When:

  • June 12th – Western Kansas Smoky Hills
  • June 19th – Southeast Kansas
  • June 26th – South Central Kansas

Who: 4-H Geology project members and their families - all participants are asked to register for the event

Registration:

All registrations for geology trips must be made in advance online. There will be NO onsite registrations for any of this year’s geology field trips. Everyone attending the field trip must register by the May 28th deadline.

The field trip is a "family" style event.  All youth participants must be accompanied by an adult guardian/chaperone.  

Registration cost is $7.50 per person.  An optional guide book for $4.00 and optional exhibit boxes for $40 pine or $45 hardwood are also available for purchase during registration.  

After registering you will receive an email confirmation with a total due for your registration.  Please take a copy of this registration with you to your local extension office when paying for the event.  

Below are separate links to register for each event.  The cover letters provide additional details for each trip.  Due to site capacity limitations the Southeastern trip will have a 100 participant limit and the South Central trip will have a 150 participant limit.  The Western trip does not require a limit.
