State 4-H Horse Judging Contest
The 4-H Horse Judging Contest provides youth an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of equine-related subject matter, including structure and movement, in a competitive setting. This contest will provide an educational experience for all participants.
The two days prior to the contest, the KSU Horse Judging Team will be hosting a beginner and advanced Horse Judging Educational Camp for youth. For more information regarding their registration click here. It will be released soon.

2022 State 4-H Horse Judging Rules
What: 2022 Kansas State 4-H Judging Contest
- Cost: $15 per contestant, includes lunch
- Additional lunches for coaches are $10
When: June 9, 2022
- Check in: 8:00 AM
- Contest Begins: 9:00 AM
Where: Manhattan, CiCo Park
Who: The contest awards are available to all Kansas 4-H members 9-18.
- Out-of-state, and non 4-H Horse Judging Camp attendees are welcome to participate in the contest for practice, but they will not be eligible for 4-H awards. Please select practice contest during camp registration.
Registration: April 12th
