Kansas 4-H Livestock Sweepstakes Date is August 23-24
The 2025 Kansas 4‐H Livestock Sweepstakes is scheduled for August 23-24 in Manhattan, KS. The Livestock Sweepstakes event includes the state 4‐H livestock judging contest, meat judging contest, livestock skillathon, and livestock quiz bowl. Youth who participate in all of the contests hosted over the course of the weekend will be eligible for the livestock sweepstakes award. The individual contests hosted over the course of the weekend are also the Kansas 4-H qualifying events for each of the respective national 4-H contests. Rules and entry details will be released to extension offices by July 1 and then be made available on the 4‐H Livestock Sweepstakes page, under the events tab of the youth livestock program website. Youth who are interested should contact their local extension office. The deadline to enter will be August 1.
