2016 Barn Quilt Workshop

Are you interested in making a Barn Quilt you can enter in the Kansas State Fair?  New in 2016, our Agriculture Department offers a competition for Open Class & County Fair Contest Winners - Barn Quilts.  Attend a workshop offered by the Kansas State Fair on April 9 and get a headstart on making one of your own!

Where:  Kansas State Fairgrounds - Encampment Building - Kansas Fairs Hall.
When:   April 9, 2016,  10:00am - 4:00pm.
Instructor:  Sandy Heyman of Burns, KS.
Cost:    $40 per person  *Includes board (2' x 2'), paint, brushes and additional supplies.  Walk-ins welcome - cost $50 per person but will not be able to participate in meal.
Lunch (optional):  $7 per person - Hog Wild (sandwich meal) - pulled pork/brisket, macaroni and cheese, potato salad.  Water and iced tea will be provided.

If you have a specific pattern, please bring it with you.  If not, patterns will be available to view for ideas. **Note:  if entering into the Fair, display cannot be on point.  Space is limited - please register by April 1st.  If payment will not be received by April 1, please phone 620-669-3621 to reserve your place.
