Shooting Sports Instructor and Apprentice Certification Training

Submitted by Shannon Rogge

Level 1 Shooting Sports Instructor and Apprentice Certification Training will be held March 25th-27th at Rock Springs 4-H Center.

Training for Coordinators and each of the Shooting Sports disciplines will be offered. It is our intention to offer training for any discipline that has registered participants. Popular disciplines (such as Archery) will have a limited number of spots based on trainer to volunteer ratios. All disciplines will be filled on a first come first serve basis. Training costs and schedules will be released in early February with registration opening mid-February.

Local Extension Units can begin the pre-training process prior to registration. This includes a potential new instructor receiving approval from the Agent and Unit Coordinator (if one is current). The volunteer will then need to register in 4-H Online and complete volunteer screening through the office. Volunteers will NOT be allowed to attend training without all prior volunteer steps being completed.
