Outbound Exchanges for 2023

By mid-September, we hope to have a link to the States’ 4-H International Exchange Programs Outbound Application posted to the Kansas State 4-H web page: www.kansas4-h.org. With lingering uncertainty related to COVID and staffing changes at States’ 4-H, promotional flyers may not be available until the end of September this year. As of this writing in August, outbound destinations are expected to be in Costa Rica, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. Norway is planning to send teens to the U.S. in 2023 rather than hosting inbounds. Additional countries may be added.
We are hoping there will strong interest in IFYE exchanges to countries throughout the world in 2023 for those over 4-H age. With Traci Ross, who spent two months in Norway, and Sanders Barbee, who was a two-month delegate to Morocco, returning to Kansas in August, word will likely get out that IFYE is a great experience. Traci and Sanders are available for presentations, especially in Northeast Kansas or by zoom. Application packets are due November 1 and interviews of applicants is scheduled for November
