AYP Students Arrive in August

Another school year has begun with two Academic Year Program (AYP) students participating through Kansas 4-H International Exchange Programs. They will participate in 4-H, local high school, and family life while sharing their culture. This year’s students are members of LEX in Japan.

Following are the students, their hosts, their Kansas high schools, the host Extension Districts and the local coordinators:
Ai Okamoto, John & Etta Walker Helsel, Wallace County H. S,. Sunflower Dist., Melinda Daily
Nagomi Yamamoto, Brandon & Dianna Dibben, Junction City H. S., Geary County, Ginger Kopfer

Families interested in hosting an Academic Year exchange may contact Mary Kay Munson, State Coordinator, for information and application at 785-375-3189 or mkm2@ksu.edu . Applications from students who wish to be hosted in 2023-24 will begin arriving after the new year.
