Kansas State Rabbit Breeders Association Judges List

Submitted by Beth Hinshaw

The Kansas State Rabbit Breeders Association has provided a list of endorsed 4-H/County Fair judges with the goal of providing youth with quality feedback delivered in a positive manner to assist in developing their rabbit projects. American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) Licensed Judges are qualified to judge ARBA sanctioned shows from the local to the national level. They have served as a Registrar for at least two years prior to passing a rigorous testing and endorsement process by other licensed judges. ARBA judges enjoy officiating at county fairs!

ARBA Licensed Registrars are qualified to evaluate any breed of rabbit according to its Standard for the purposes of registration with the ARBA. Rabbits must be examined by a licensed registrar, found to be free of disqualifications and deemed a good representative of their breed in order to be registered. Many, but not all, Registrars are working toward an ARBA Judge’s License. Judging county fairs is good experience in preparation for this goal. Experienced Breeders/4-H Judges do not hold ARBA licenses but are individuals who have successfully raised rabbits for exhibition at ARBA shows over a period of many years and are well versed in applying breed standards to evaluating rabbits. They are often current or former 4-H members, parents and/or volunteers.

Extension Personnel can find the list of endorsed judges in TEAMs, Youth Development Channel, Folder: List of Potential Judges.
