Academic Year Exchange 2021-2022 Launched
Kansas’ Academic Year Program (AYP) Exchangee, Sayo Matsumoto, Japan) arrived August 4 and will be with her host family Bryan and Melissa Boutz in Shawnee County until June. Candis Meerpohl is serving as her local coordinator. Our second AYP student has been delayed due to COVID protocols in getting her visa. We hope she can receive her visa during or shortly after a scheduled meeting at the U.S. Embassy in Japan August and can get a flight to Kansas soon. She is Hiyori Sugahara, who will be hosted by Randy and Stacy Rogers in Scott County. Hiyori will also stay until June. Janet Harkness is her local coordinator.
