Outbound Exchanges for 2021 to be Announced in Mid-September
States’ 4-H International exchange Programs (States’ 4-H) plans to announce their outbound exchange offerings later in August than the Tip Sheet deadline. Check the State 4-H web site, www.kansas4-H.org, in mid-September for details. We have been assured that the exchanges offered last year will be offered again in 2021. That would include exchanges to Costa Rica, Japan, Norway, Romania, South Korea and Taiwan. Kansas had five who lost out on travel in 2020 due to the pandemic take advantage of guaranteed placements in exchanges to Costa Rica (Laura Koch—Flint Hills District), Japan (Kate Rogers—Scott County), Norway (Maddie Anderson—Johnson County and Taelur Barnes--Meadowlark District) and Taiwan (Desiree Ingalsbe—Butler County). Additional countries may be announced in September. Applications for 2021 will be due November 2 with interviews November 22.
