4-H Wheat Variety Plot Awards
The Kansas 4-H Wheat Variety Plot program is an opportunity for Kansas 4-H youth to learn how different wheat varieties perform in different parts of Kansas, develop a small-scale crop research project, and understand how wheat varieties are developed.
The 2025 4-H Wheat Variety Plot program wrapped up at the 2025 Kansas State Fair with the Wheat Variety Plot Displays. Seven displays were exhibited, and the Top 5 displays were awarded on Saturday, September 6, in the 4-H Showcase Building. Industry partners provide cash awards and plaques to the top 5 exhibitors. The Wheat Variety Plot Displays are supported by the Kansas Wheat Commission, Kansas Crop Improvement Association, and the Kansas Grain and Feed Association.
