4-H Raise Your Hand Campaign- April 1-May 15, 2018
As KSRE professionals and/or 4-H Volunteers, we know that we need to continue our efforts to grow and reach more children than ever before. This is why National 4-H Council is coordinating a nationwide call to action for alumni AND friends to "Raise Your Hand" (RYH) to empower our nation's youth with the skills to lead for a lifetime. You may remember our first RYH campaign back in the spring of 2017. This will be similar, but will include "friends and supporters of 4-H" as well as alumni.
The three states with the most hands raised will win $20,000, $10,000 and $5,000! Stay tuned for surprise incentives along the way. Kansas came in 4th place last time, so we are more than determined to win some money and gain as many 4-H alumni and friends as possible! Please note that this is a NEW contest- votes from last time don’t count- so raise your hand again, and encourage your alumni & friends to do the same!
A RYH resource page has been created here. Please visit this page to download a very helpful RYH Overview. Included in this guide are social media posts (suggested text to post along with the digital assets provided), as well as sample emails to send to listservs you may already have. There is also a printable flyer for folks without internet access; you’ll have to input their info online for them.
