Submitted by Deryl E Waldren

The 2020 Kansas State Fair 4-H Crops Identification Contest was not held in September due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In its place a virtual Kansas State 4-H Crops ID Contest was created that was open to Kansas 4-H members, 9-18-years-old. The contest was conducted from November 14-22. Highlight results are included in this article. Complete results will be emailed to all participants by December 15, 2020. Contest awards will be mailed by the Kansas State 4-H Office in Manhattan to county/district Extension offices by January 10, 2021, for pick-up by the award recipients. Plaques and medallions were sponsored by the County Weed Directors’ Association and the Eric and Jackie Chandler Family.
