2020 Kansas State Fair Wheat Variety Plot Display Winners Announced

The 2020 Kansas 4-H wheat plot variety display winners were selected virtually for the Kansas State Fair 4-H Division. Participants planted and raised five varieties of wheat, and then created an educational display to showcase their wheat production and accomplishments. These awards have Kansas wheat industry sponsors who awarded a plaque and cash prizes for each of the top five displays.

2020 winners and 4-H home town and county/district and sponsors include:

-1st place plaque and $250 to – Aidan George, Albert; Walnut Creek District – La Crosse; Sponsor – Kansas Wheat Commission, Manhattan

-2nd place plaque and $150 to– Jacob Bell, Moscow; Wild West District – Hugoton; Sponsor – Kansas Crop Improvement Association, Inc., Manhattan

-3rd place plaque and $100 to– Truman Hooker, Kanorado; Sunflower District – Goodland; Sponsor – Kansas Grain & Feed Association and Kansas Agribusiness Retailers Association, Topeka

-4th place plaque and $75 to – Chase Lillard, Abilene; Chisholm District – Abilene; Sponsor – Kansas Grain & Feed Association and Kansas Agribusiness Retailers Association, Topeka

-5th place plaque and $50 to– Ian Dunn, St. John; Stafford County;
Sponsor – Kansas Grain & Feed Association and Kansas Agribusiness Retailers Association, Topeka
